Support

The Oli Hilsdon Foundation raises awareness and funds research into brain tumours, specifically Glioblastoma Multiforme, in order to change the outcome of a Glioblastoma diagnosis. We do not ourselves have the resources or expertise to provide advice or support to those diagnosed with Glioblastoma and their families, but we recommend the following brilliant organisations to those looking for advice and support.

The Brain Tumour Charity offers a wide range of support and information to those affected by brain tumours.

Brain Tumour Support is for anyone affected by any type of brain tumour, to help them deal day to day with the impact of diagnosis and treatment. It offers a tailor-madesupport plan.

Brainstrust is a UK brain tumour charity, dedicated to helping people affected by a brain tumour. They provide support and advice from the point of diagnosis and beyond.

BT Buddies provide information on high grade brain tumours for patients, families and caregivers in the UK.

The Brain and Spine Foundation provides support to people affected by brain and spine conditions.

Macmillan offers information on brain tumours, including how they are diagnosed, treatments you might have, possible side effects and how to get further support.

Maggie’s Centres are located in the grounds of major NHS cancer hospitals, as well as online, and give the extra emotional, practical and social support needed by people with cancer and those supporting them.
